Joan Chen

Joan Chen is a stage manager (and sometimes actor) currently living in Tokyo.

Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, Joan has been a part of the theater community since she was 9 years old. She is most recently involved with Tokyo International Player’s (TIP) Production of Spring Awakening and P.A. Tokyo’s WeSongCycle Project. Graduated from Georgia’s Institution of Technology, Joan has also worked on many productions of DramaTech Theater under the guidance of their wonderful Artistic Director, Melissa Foulger, and Technical Director, Keith Hinze.

She is currently the stage manager of a new Japanese Musical, Ms., directed by Rino Kumamoto and will be working with Karen Pauley on TIP’s production of Cinderella.
