Karen Pauley is incredibly honoured to work with the talented cast and crew of Songs for a New World.  She first heard the Jason Robert Brown musical when studying with Chris Levens and is thrilled that after three years she can finally bring the production to the stage in Tokyo.


Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she has been singing and studying music since she was four years old, most recently performing as “Mrs Lovett”in Tokyo International Players’ (TIP) production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.  She is a board member of Tokyo International Players, vocal director for TIP Youth, and was both vocal director and assistant director for TIP's recent production of "The Who’s Tommy”.
